Last year we introduced you to ‘nice guy’ Guy Stuttard, or NGG, as he’s known in the business. Guy is the Sphere Financial Services man in the know for Cheadle Hulme. Guy still lives here in Cheadle Hulme, having grown up locally and loves it.
A consummate professional, true family man and pillar of the community (although he’ll blush, it’s true), his business goes from strength to strength thanks to the glowing recommendations he receives on a daily basis. For anything to do with mortgages, re-mortgages or related insurances, Guy’s your man.Trust Guy
There’s something about Guy, indeed, that nickname came about for a reason. As well as incredibly knowledgeable and experienced, he’s warm and genuinely helpful, and you just KNOW you can trust him to find the right product for your circumstances. In short, he’ll look after you and you’ll matter to him. Clients are treated like family, in fact, some still keep in touch since being post-uni first-time buyers! Guy says he loves to ‘take first-time buyers on their property journey’.
Guy – and Sphere Cheadle Hulme – specialise in:
They can also help with commercial mortgaging. Guy stresses the importance of associated insurances, which Sphere can help with. He emphasises the need to regularly review your cover, to ensure it’s fit for purpose.
As Guy says:
‘We believe in protecting our loved ones and we practice what we preach. We know insurance makes a massive difference in hard times. Sphere make sure our customers understand this.
Our families are the most important things to us, and we know everyone is the same. We don’t scare you with horror stories, or ask you to pay too much. It is important for us to know you have all-round peace-of-mind and that it’s within budget.
We advise on:
– Life Insurance
– Critical Illness Cover
– Income Protection
– Buildings and Contents Insurance
– Business Protection.
We will help you understand each type of insurance, to help you decide which is right for you and then work with your budget to get you the best quality cover at the best price.’
Guy and Sphere will go the extra mile to make sure it’s right for YOU. That personal service makes Sphere special. They can often help in trickier cases – first time buyers, or recently self-employed for example, or a non-standard property. Sphere will liaise with lenders, and ensure everything’s good to go before formally applying. Guy tells us:
‘The work we do in advance of a mortgage application mirrors that of lenders, in that we will view the situation through an underwriter’s eyes and consider if it will be attractive to lenders, or not.
Failed mortgage applications can affect subsequent applications to other lenders, affecting that dream home you may be buying, so make sure you get the right advice, first time.’
They’ll work with estate agents too, encouraging them to speak with vendors so they’ll know exactly what they can buy. Don’t worry, there’s no cost for your initial meeting. As with all mortgages, there are fees, which Sphere aim to keep low – but they’re only due once an application is successful – and with Guy, most applications ARE successful. That’s good to know.
The property market remains buoyant in Cheadle Hulme, but buying CAN be easy with the right advice. A house is the most expensive thing you will ever buy therefore you need proper, tailored advice and access to a range of lenders. Your own bank may NOT be the best option. Don’t believe the doom-mongering media – Sphere have even arranged mortgages for twenty-somethings with a 5% deposit. It CAN be done, and Guy will do his utmost GET it done. Likewise the hoohah around Brexit – the dreaded slump didn’t happen, in fact, quite the reverse.
What is the hardest thing about obtaining a mortgage then? Guy says it’s ‘not being credit savvy’. Bad credit won’t just disappear so DEAL with it! Make sure your accounts and cards are well managed, be on the electoral register, close any old credit cards… A poor credit rating is not, he says, ‘the end of the world – there is hope’. Preparation, according to Guy, is key.
If you want excellent advice and a first-class service for your mortgage and financial matters, speak to Guy. You’ll be very glad you did. You may be even gladder if you recommend a friend – there could be a £50 voucher in it for you!
