A wise friend – who once was an estate agent – once said of choosing the right estate agent to sell your house, ‘ALWAYS go with a local, independent agency.’ Why, you may ask? ‘Because to the local independents, every single sale matters. Their livelihood depends on it’. Sound advice indeed, and just one reason why I’ve always used Snowden Wilkinson.

It’s Personal…

With Snowden Wilkinson it’s personal. They know the area. They get to know YOU. Even the staff hail from the area. Snowden Wilkinson even provide their mobile numbers to communicate when it suits YOU. Selling or buying a home can be a stressful time, but Snowden Wilkinson do their level best to help. It’s also more of a family business. Directors Ian Wilkinson and Rob Snowden (along with Rob’s wife Lucy, who specialises in sales progression) have known each other a long time. Rob and Ian met playing Lacrosse (they play for Cheadle Hulme Lacrosse Club, just off Ladybridge Road) many years ago.

Ian, Rob and Lucy all grew up locally and all still live in Cheadle Hulme. Rob and Lucy’s children attend Cheadle Hulme School, while Ian’s adorable little one is at Ramillies nursery. Ian and his family are looking to move house – but are determined to stay in Cheadle Hulme!

Over a Decade in Business.

Snowden Wilkinson was founded in 2005. The property market has evolved considerably since then – the internet allows all agents a level playing field. What sets Snowden Wilkinson apart is their clear and regular communication, targeted marketing – and above all else, a first-class personal service. They don’t expect clients to wait around for them or struggle to get hold of them at crucial times. Instead, they work around you – making themselves available seven days a week.

If you’re renting, letting, selling or buying in Cheadle Hulme, you need a local, dedicated estate agent with unrivalled experience of the area coupled with in-depth property knowledge. THAT’S what you get with Snowden Wilkinson. They’re committed to establishing and maintaining friendly, trusting relationships their clients. This is something else I can vouch for! Plus, they constantly invest in the latest software, and advertise on the top property sites.

Snowden Wilkinson LOVE Cheadle Hulme.

Snowden Wilkinson live here, play here, work here. As Ian says, Cheadle Hulme has EVERYTHING – food, drink, schools, amazing transport links and yet the countryside on our doorstep. Ian loves the historic properties, and the stories behind them. A favourite property recently sold was Mayfield on Beech Road – so called because that used to be a may field. Hill Top Farm is another stunning and unique property, which is currently on the market. He also appreciated the new build on Cheadle Road – which perfectly complements the imposing period houses nearby.

Snowden Wilkinson would love to see even more fabulous local independent retailers, but also feel that a few high street names can give the independents confidence. Individually and as a business, Snowden Wilkinson use many of our local businesses. San-IT and Web Vitality, Barradell’s, and Homebird. For a meal or a night out they can’t beat the John Millington or the Hesketh, or perhaps a few drinks in the Chiverton Tap. The ladies happily recommend the Retreat Rooms and Matrix too. All are very much looking forward to Porter & Daughters’ new venue in Bridgeway House. Cheadle Hulme ticks every box for Snowden Wilkinson.

When it comes to buying or selling, you need an expert. You NEED Snowden Wilkinson. They have the professional expertise as well as the local knowledge. As it says on their website: ‘This is our home. Let us help you with yours’.
